Our little chefs at our Ham branch have been whipping up magic in their classroom: they made flapjacks from scratch! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
They learned about ingredients and that raisins are just dried grapes! 🍇Cooking sessions like these aren't just about delicious treats: they're vital for early years development, sparking curiosity and teaching valuable skills for life. Cooking also gives children knowledge about food, where it comes from and what is healthy and unhealthy. It also gives them valuable self-help skills! Bon Appétit!

🐛🔍 Let the worm hunt begin! 🌿🔎

Today in our Hampton Court branch toddlers had a lot of fun catching wiggly worms made of cooked pasta with tweezers. Not only did they work on their fine motor skills, but they also sparked their curiosity about the wonders of nature and expanded their vocabulary and learned prepositions while describing the hiding worms. 🌟

Our pre-schoolers in Hampton Court were introduced a beautiful exploration experience!
Using pipettes, they dissolved soda-based eggs, revealing hidden surprises within 🥚 🪲
Not only did this spark curiosity, but it also supported their fine motor skills and taught them the art of using tools. Learning and fun go hand in hand! ✨

Thanks to the generous donation from one of our amazing parents, we now have tadpoles to support our focus on life cycles. 🐣🐸 Pre-schoolers will have the opportunity to closely observe the fascinating stages of frog development outdoors, helping them to familiarise themselves with nature's wonders and expand their vocabulary!

🌱 Growing Cress: Toddler Edition! 👶

Our toddlers in Ham planted cress all on their own! From carefully laying down a layer of soft cotton wool to gently sprinkling seeds and even pouring water into the cups, these tiny hands showed incredible independence and curiosity.
We can't wait to see these tiny seeds sprout and grow into vibrant cress! And who knows, soon we might just be adding our homegrown cress to our egg sandwiches! 🥪
