‘Hello, I am Katie Harris, a positive, outgoing, passionate, and experienced teacher in educating young people and early years. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Education and Development which I studied at the University of Gloucestershire, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for years 5-11, which I studied at Bath Spa University.
Working with the younger generation is my passion, I believe the importance of supporting and nurturing people from their earliest years is fundamental to their future successes academically and for their well-being. As you may already guess, I also have a passion for educating physical activity and learning through movement, so I am very much looking forward to this year’s sports day, especially entering a race with you all on the day, both children and adults! In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton in my local club in Sunbury as well as attending musical events – music is my remedy!’
